Self-Funding Treatment
You do not require a referral if you wish to self-fund your treatment. An initial consultation with a Duplex scan is undertaken to assess if treatment is recommended. The cost of this consultation and scan is £275. In some cases, if unusual findings are seen clinically or on this duplex scan, more extensive scanning may be required. Once a decision has been made regarding the recommended treatment, a price for the full treatment will be provided. Where Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation is recommended, the price provided will be for a complete package of care, covering all costs for the entire treatment, encompassing the procedure and follow-up, with confirmatory scanning following treatment being included.

Insurance Cover
Treatment at the Centre is covered by most Private Medical Insurers, if the treatment of varicose veins is covered by your own individual policy. Most insurers require certain conditions to be present before authorising treatment, with many needing a GP referral prior to funding the initial consultation. Increasingly, insurers will only authorise the treatment of varicose veins once they have reached a set level of severity. The cost of treatment of thread veins (microsclerotherapy) is not covered by medical insurers. Please feel free to discuss this us, and it is recommended you discuss this with your own Medical Insurer prior to seeking an appointment with Mr Maytham and the team.
